Renaldo M’s “They Blessed The Body Breadcrumbed” Now Available!

They Blessed The Body Breadcrumbed is Renaldo M’s first solo outing that has now been released on CD by Klanggalerie, Cat. No. gg454

This is an album that took over 30 years to complete and mainly represents works started in the time RATL were not together in the 1990s to 2005. With some extra demo work undertaken in 2017, it was only finalised in 2023.

So you’ll hear one track with a backing that dates to 1983 and others that only came together in the past year. Guest musicians include Nolan Cook (guitarist for The Residents) who plays on 3 tracks, Big Headed Son, Mina Or Maja and The Window and The Wall, Mike Howlett (producer and member of Gong) who plays on The Trichophobe and Frank Pahl who plays on and wrote the lyrics to The Value Of Slacks.

In some ways the completion of this 13 track collection was a cathartic exercise for Renaldo, it had drifted in and out of his sub-conscious for many years.  Perhaps as a result, this could be seen to impede fresh ideas (who knows?) – so there was a real need to fully externalise it to open up the future.
